All Doral Communities
Doral General Information
As the city itself is named after a golf resort and spa (the Doral Golf Resort & Spa), Doral, FL, offers a relaxed atmosphere that lives up to its namesake. While the city is not on the shores of the Biscayne and is actually found west of Miami, it is in a surprisingly central location and easy to get to great areas in Southern Florida. Miami, Miami Beach and Hollywood, FL, are all less than an hour’s drive from Doral, as are even further cities like Fort Lauderdale, Homestead and Boca Raton.
This odd out of the way yet at the same time centrality of Doral is thanks to the Ronald Reagan Turnpike, which is a couple miles west of Doral and cuts travel times so drastically that it’s well worth paying a couple dollars to travel all over southern Florida.
Likely due to this ease of commuting by car, the lower prices for places to live in Doral are generally more than you will find in other south Florida cities that don’t touch the ocean. That being said, the most affordable homes for sale in Doral come in at around $125,000. However, even though those are less costly than other homes in the city, that shouldn’t be taken as any kind of indicator for the types of neighborhoods that you will find those homes in. In other words, even the most inexpensive neighborhoods in Doral are really nice places to live.
Conversely, top-tier homes in the city are simply stunning and are some of the most gorgeous you will find in a landlocked city in south Florida. These more affluent communities have homes that reach into the millions of dollars, with the “normal” cap to be shy of $3 million, though every once in a while you will see an awe-inspiring exceptional property hit the market that may be much more.
