Bay Harbor Islands General Information
Although the Floridian town of Bay Harbor Islands only has a population of less than 6,000 people, it offers homebuyers a curiously wide range of types of properties and home prices. In this town, you will be able to find condos, townhomes and houses for either singles or families of any size. On a similar note, the cost of homes for sale in Bay Harbor Islands are just as varied with homes available between the high $100,000s to expansive mansions reaching into the millions of dollars.
As implied by the town’s name, Bay Harbor is primarily made up of two islands that are located just west near the northern portion of the barrier island that houses Miami Beach. The islands from west to east are individually named Broadview and Bay Harbor, and they are connected to each other, mainland Florida and Miami Beach by way of bridges on the Broad Causeway.
The Bay Harbor Islands are made even more appealing by the fact that you can get to practically any of Miami-Dade’s hotspots with a quick drive. The likes of downtown Miami, the Miami International Airport, Aventura Mall and more will usually take fewer than a half hour. Getting around town is also a breeze as there are three routes for complimentary shuttles from Monday to Friday that stops at a handful of points of interest. They also visit North Miami, Surfside and other locations where passengers can easily transfer from shuttle to shuttle.
Still the casual island living afforded by Bay Harbor Islands feels like a resort with swaying palms, sunny weather, warm beaches and residents who actually converse and spend time outdoors with each other. All year long, people can be found at the various parks, playgrounds and dog parks enjoying this island town’s beautiful weather and friendly neighbors.
